Speaking of role models, E is another one of mine. She's an incredibly gifted musician who is warm, joyful, and practical and who has an irrepressible, focused drive to make the world a better place. She is absolutely beautiful and is a force to be reckoned with. She was featured in an ad in one of our professional publications and asked me if I could take a few shots for them to choose from. Here are some of my favorites!

My grandmother is an incredible role model. She's brilliant, independent, generous, cultured, and classy. She has always told me--through both her words and her example--that I can be whatever I want to be, and that societal expectations and stereotypes are for overcoming, not conforming to. I am incredibly blessed to have her in my life and I hope that I can be even half the role model she has been to others in my life.
